For grown-ups a year or two is nothing.

During college, sometimes it feels like a decade tbh. It doesn't help that I have the sense of humour (and overall maturity) of a pre-teen.

I think Mr. Les' point earlier in this thread about having friends in certain age groups can be a good weeding mechanism too in situations of stepping up in age. If a girl in her early to mid 20's is hanging out with the older "professional crowd", she's usually pretty boring and uncomfortable when it comes down to it in my experience. Your dates will be de facto job interviews. I don't know many guys in that age range that would want to date that type of girl. Ideally, in that age range, you want a girl that has things going on, but she has to call you to complain about how she doesn't understand any of the older schmucks at her work.

Your post reminds me of someone who wanted to clarify what dating meant. I guess I'm talking about dating like having someone to bang for a little while. If we're talking about dating as a means to find a wife then nothing I've posted in this thread applies.
