Could Gobert revive pro volleyball like Wilt Chamberlain did?

AS a boy I remember going to a men's volleyball match that featured Wilt Chamberlain. He was actually the president, a team owner and one of the star players of the IVA. It must have been an exhibition I went to at the old Salt Palace because the records show he was already retired from volleyball as a player by the time Salt Lake had a team. But I do remember seeing him play. He couldn't jump but didn't really need to. Just stuck up those long arms to block anything on his side of the court.

I'm really thinking Gobert could start another volleyball league. He certainly has the size and blocking abilities. He has international connections. The league could run during the "down time" of the NBA season. It would be perfect for bball players to stay in shape. Each current NBA franchise could own a team or form partnerships to form a 16-team, 2-division league.

Why hasn't anyone else thought of this yet?
 
Forget GoBear, have Evans do it. He has a higher max vertical anyway. Actually, have them both be on the same club, they'd be unstoppable. Throw favors in there for good measure, he has pretty badA vertical too.
 
Volleyball players make like, what, $70k per year?


That's what Gobert could potentially make in 2-3 NBA games.. so no, I don't think he'll seriously consider it.
