What If The Tank Doesn't Work

This team has been carefully selected. The young kids are good. Good enough, in fact, that if Utah kept Millsap and signed Calderon and a shooter, they make the playoffs. But Lindsay purposefully brought in a TERRIBLE bench to lose. Favors won't play 40+ when we get Biedrens and Marvin back. And that will hurt the Jazz.

We should only be out of the playoffs one year.

Green last night is exactly what I have been talking about. Utah played to win. They brought it right at the Thunder. No fear, no backing down. They came up short and I am 100% OK with that. They played their butt off. Exactly what we need to see the remaining 81 games.

Go Jazz!

just what we want to see, it indicates that the core players are just 1 or 2 guys away from winning these kind of games. guys we can pick up next draft or FA, and be in a really good position. These close losses are exactly what we need.

No one can stop the tank.

No one.

Believe in the tank. Keep the faith! Be Inspired! WE CAN DO THIS!

FOR THE TANK!!!

The scarey thing about tanking, is I don't know if this market will support a long-term tank job. Tanking could potentially cause us to lose the franchise if we aren't able to draw a crowd. I hope the Miller's have the stomach for a full-on tank and we don't start trying to make short-term moves to prevent the tank. I don't know if the Miller's have the wallet for a long-term tank. I think Dennis Lindsey is making the right moves by having the Jazz tank, but this may not work if we lose the franchise.

If I'm not mistaken, the new CBA helps to make ownership more profitable by punishing big spenders and redistributing those penalties to under-cap teams. I read somewhere an estimate, based on current cap levels of teams, what those numbers were but I can't remember off the top of my head. I just remember it being a significant amount. The point I got was that the Jazz were going to have, redistributed to them, a significant amount of money, at least this year (and probably going forward from many of them), from teams like Brooklyn, LAL and others. After reading this estimate, I just figured that this money is what allowed the Jazz to install the new video boards and do those other things to ESA, as well as hire more staff. So, while having lower #'s in attendance wouldn't be what they'd want and would be a problem, they are still counterbalancing (potential) losses by other income streams. Maybe someone could find those #'s and post them, this seems to be a recurring concern, that the team will have to leave the market.

Kept Millsap to come off the bench? Would Millsap have been on board with that?

We were only outscored 1 quarter out of 4. As they get more experience, they'll start to win games like that.
