Would you spend nine million dollars next year for two late first round picks this year?

Why would OKC be stupid enough to do that trade? I would take Perkins for Biedrens for one 1st rounder let alone 3.
 
Does OKC have a need for this cap relief in 2014, as opposed to 2015? Would it allow them to sign someone, or avoid a tax penalty? I don't see their motive for doing this.
 
What do you suppose 2014 GSW and OKC 1sts, conditional Dallas 1st, 2015 Jazz first, and 2017 GSW and Jazz first with Perkins as salary filler could fetch?

Good point. Perhaps my answer was too hasty -- I haven't even looked at the FA list for this offseason. My interest in this trade goes up if I knew they were gonna parlay those acquired assets into shooters. Maybe the trade market is significantly better?
