Bulls Joining the Tank?

Is there anything from the bulls that we want that does not threaten the goal of this season?

They're not getting rid of Jimmy Butler or the rights to Nikola Mirotic, so, no, not really.

BTW, the Bulls are schmucks if they don't join the tanking debacle. Dump/amnesty Boozer, let Deng walk, think about getting rid of Gibson and/or Noah and see if Rose can get healthy. Or something.

Bulls can't tank. Too many good vets they won't be able to get rid of. They should trade Deng for a PG. Maybe try and get Dragic from PHX.

they still have players that are decent enough to garner enough wins plus quite a good coach. If they really want to tank they better trade something for the tank captain lucas...because thats how u really tank. Lucas.

Yep, but what are you going to give up for him? Bulls might be interested if Hayward was a good secondary ball handler and they were willing to pay Gordon's price tag. But right now are they really interested in what Hayward shows in a similar situation like the Bulls are suffering right now? He seems redundant to what Dunleavy offers(in smaller extents of course) and what they hope Snell can become.
Other than that they might want Kanter who'd really be valuable for their needs, but are you going to give up Kanter for Jimmy Butler + X(Charlotte '14 OR Bulls '14 OR Mirotic).

The way I look at it is that they are really asset trapped right now. They have so many assets which they can't fully use because they don't have some good fits but then again they are either emotionally attached to some(Deng, Noah), know they can't score better even though they'd like to(Thibs, Boozer)
I mean let's summarize their woes:
-back to the basket scorer(They wanted Boozer to fulfil that role, but he really hasn't. Fade Aways aren't really high PPP options)
-secondary ball handler
-spacing

Wow that is a supreme idea. That's repworthy(rep'd). I wouldn't trade Deng, as neither does Phoenix want him, nor do the Bulls want to part with him.
Phoenix is $5M under the cap. Bulls want an exception for Mirotic.
The Suns want to unload Okafor(who's out long term, end of the year and probably february until in shape), Gerald Green's 2 years and Channing Frye's 2 years.
Bulls want to part with Boozer and the Suns won't really care for Boozer's contract as they're no FA players anyways. And even with Boozer they can attack Hayward ;)
So the Bulls get Dragic($7.5M), Green($3.5M) and a $5M trade exception for Carlos Boozer($15.3M)+Bulls '14 first(top10 protected)+Bobcats/Hornets '14 first(top10 protected). Salary wise Dragic has $22.5M left, Green $7M left and Boozer $32.1M left it's almost even while Suns have slightly easier time meeting the minimum requirement in 2014 and can move Boozer's ending then as well in trades + they acquire 2 more first rounders.
Bledsoe plays similar to Rose and Dragic has already shown he's a good teamplayer, secondary ball handler, distributor and sizewise he can defend most 2s. That would be a very good trade IMO. Maybe a couple minor fixes would have to be made but props to you beantown for coming up with the idea.

For those claiming Bulls can't trade n tank, that's nonsense. I.e. they could 3 way to send boozer to HOU Asik to OKC and take Perkins and three first rounders, then unload Deng for two more. That could be poor asset management though, and wouldn't get their tight assownership group under the LT to where its justifiable from a profit standpoint

Getting rid of Boozer after the season does them no good if they want to tank and get a high draft pick in this draft.

They just might.

The problem is, as long as their big 3 (Deng/Boozer/Noah) are on this roster and healthy, they won't be bad enough to tank against this horrific east. The east is barely fielding any winning teams. So in order for the Bulls to tank, they'll need to unload at least 2 of the 3. I doubt anyone wants Boozer, Deng is already expiring, and I have no idea what kind of contract Noah has.

In other words, the only way I see them losing at least 2 of their big 3 is via injury. I doubt they can unload them via trades to suck like us and tank.
