NBA.com Rookie Ladder: Trey Burke #3

I hope he sticks it in the 'fans' faces and drags this team kicking and screaming to the playoffs. Who needs to draft a superstar if you already have a couple in the making?

I don't get this at all. If the Jazz make the playoffs this year, then that is a GREAT thing. That means that three of our young guys are legit. We have NO bench. If we make the playoffs, we don't need Jabari or Wiggins. We have our Jabari or Wiggins already.

The worst thing that could happen is we finish between 6-14 in the lottery. That's why we have no bench. You force someone to become Jabari, or you suck bad enough to get Jabari. Either way, you get Jabari.

I think it's a bit premature to hype Burke. He hasn't done that much yet. Made a bunch of wide open shots, a few good drives to the hoop, and been competent handling the ball. But not much pressure has been put on him; teams have been giving him the shots. Still only averaging 3-4 assists, which isn't good for a PG.

3-4 assists for a rookie pg that is a shooter and has low turnovers is VERY good. It's all about perspective.

Making the playoffs with this squad means that we don't get a potential finisher. We don't have a finisher. So, missing out on the 1-3 pick in this draft would be a waste of a year and a waste of a once in a decade opportunity to launch our team to the next level. Making the playoffs this year would NOT make us contenders. Getting Jabari may.

So, here's to hoping that Trey gets another big injury in the coming weeks. And then Hayward.

Looking back it was such a roller coaster ride with him:

- Burke projected around #14 - we were perfectly placed to grab him

- Burke miracle shots in the tourney catapulted him into top #10 - we were still hopeful

- Lottery hopeful started pulling out of '13 draft Burke now projected top #5 - we were :( and looking at getting Schroeder/Larkin

- Lindsey pulled a miracle trade and got Burke at #9 - WOW!!!!

- Burke sucked in the Summer League - :( :(

- Burke got injured in preseason - :( :( :( :(

- Burke blowing up right now - :) :)

- Burke winning ROY?????????????????

You forgot after the struggling summerleague. Many jazz fans calling for a trade, calling him a bad pick, and umping over the edge before 1 game. This kid is the real deal and is alreay the jazz leader and when it comes down to it the best player. Trey isn't afraid of big shots and will end up making his fair share of game winners

And FLC...

Nicole Kidman and Cameron Diaz are two of the most overrated weems in the H-wood. They aren't as hideous as the likes of Kirsten 'Snaggle tooth, lazy eye' Dunst but they aren't really all that great looking either. So if that's your dream I would say that you are aiming low. Set those heights higher baby!

You act as if making wide open shots is so easy a caveman could do it...ask Gordon Hayward how wide open shots have been working for him this year. The Jazz without Trey in the lineup is like driving a car without a steering wheel...he deserves the hype.
