Keep Steve Brown fire Boler

They should do a play by play Reality Show competition. Pick ten people let them do the play by play for the rest of the games this season and the winner gets the full time job next year. It would be a way to add interest to this abysmal season.

I love Locke; he's clearly the best. I don't mind the radio/internet being his domain, but I don't know why he never gets the TV bump when someone's out. Also, why does Harpring miss so many games a year? He like only does homegames. He's got a Phil Jackson contract or something?

Boler will miss a lot of Friday/Saturday/Sunday games in the first part of the season because he does College Football. I'll be interesting to see if Harpring does more away games/weekend games once Boler is back instead of Brown. Brown/Harpring definitely don't really work well together.

Steve Brown makes me want to puncture my ear drums with sharpened popsicle sticks............

Great bball knowledge is refreshing

Not only does he got that bball knowledge, apparently he knows something about Ben mclemore's balls.

Talked about them a couple of times in tonight's game.

And waxed philosophical about cousins headband.

Well, I've lived in as many NBA cities, and I disagree with you. So there.

Boler is well below average. Matty has been tainted by him. I thought Boone was fine in his prime. Steve Brown is just shameful.

I actually don't mind Boler. Matt is a bit too combative and probably makes Boler feel bad all the time. No joke. Booner was really forgetful the last couple years but has been much better this year. Steve Brown reminds me of my dad. Just a genuinely nice guy who gets along with everyone. Locke has good knowledge and passion for the game, and he has gotten better working with a team, but he still needs a bit more polish.

Overall, the team is pretty decent. I also like the variety they've been giving us. Although, I don't think I have a favorite. A mix is good for now.

Brownie might be a little hard on the ears every now and again but he has solid bball insight and actually understands what's happening. Boler might be great w football but he's lacking a lot at bball.

I like the whole staff overall though. Harping has been great this season.

Zounds!! I told you i had trouble detecting sarcasm. Now it seems i detected sarcasm when there was none intended. Guess that underlines who much i disagree with this quote. Almost all announcers today have quit "describing the game action" which was always their initial responsibility and replaced it with the cult of "personality". Clever (or not so clever) nicknames, interviews while the game is in progress, sophomoric banter, banal phrases and despite franklins endorsement a complete lack of insightful analysis (which should in my opinion be kept to a minimum). They all seem to be auditioning for "Sportcenter". Which is where this cult of "personality" all originated. Watching a telecast today is almost like participating in a fan message board! Oh Yeah, its exactly like that because you actually can participate to a large extent through the internet. It should take a cast of 6-10 to announce game action in a sporting event? Maybe its my age (don't think so) but lately i prefer to watch the games with the sound muted so i can actually key on the "game" without all the peripheral flak.

By the way i do not actually use words such as "Zounds" in daily conversation. Just trying to stay in character.
