What's new

I rarely complain about the officiating...

Always the same. We complain about bad reffing and some "voice of reason" has to come in here and lecture us on all the other reasons why the jazz lost the game.

WE KNOW! DUH.

But we can still point out the bad reffing when it happens, and tonight, it happened. I have a friend who turned the game off when it was 16-4, and he saw that Javie was reffing and he said "Jazz will lose, I"m not gonna watch"
He called later and said, "Let me guess, Javie made bad calls and the OK shot many more free throws"

If you haven't read "Personal Foul" by that one ref, I highly recommend that you do.

And I have to laugh at whoever said that Bavetta is the best ref. It's because of Bavetta that the Stock/Malone Jazz didn't win the 98 title....oh wait, I can't say that can I? If the jazz had just made all their shots, they would have won anyways, right?

And isn't it funny that last night, the lakers lose at home to the suns, and Phil Jackson spends the whole
post game talking about one ref call in the 2nd quarter and blamed the loss on that call.

I'd say rebounding right now is our biggest concern. But I'm not terribly worried after this game, the 1st one back off a long roadie is always the toughest. Plus it was only 1 day rest after so many games in a short span. This stretch of games with such little rest is kind of ridiculous if you asked me.

Phil Jackson knows that when he complains the league listens. If the Jazz complain, they probably just get fined and that's about it.

its a makeup game from the refs.

for the shafting okc got lasts eason.
when cj fouled durant but a no call.

so the nba refs owned okc 1 game in ESA

simple as that

If that was the case the Jazz where already owed a game from getting jobbed in OKC on New Years eve, if you need to ask cause you don't remember then you don't deserve to know.

There was definitely an effort by the refs to slow the game down. Thunder came out flat and down by 12 and all of a sudden it's a march to the free throw line by OKC.

Having said that, you have to be a blind homer to think The Jazz should have won last night.

-After the first period, Thunder had uncontested shots all night long because The Jazz didn't rotate on defense, we're slow to defend spots in the zone and didn't fight through high screens which led to wide open jumpers.

-Serge "Frickin" Ibaka had open looks all night long. His last shot was finally contested and he bricked it badly. Jazz basically gave away a dozen points because they never bothered to guard him.

-D-Will took control early, Russell Westbrook took control in crunch time.

-Jazz still can't take advantage of the mis-matches given to them when the opposing team switches up and puts a bigger body on D-Will

-Late TO's by The Jazz, a lot of offensive sets stuck in mud 25 feet from the basket.

- Kirilenko didn't get the call late - but he can't finish either.

-I love AJ - but let's face it. He blew two gimme's late

Next win someone should pull out the "we overcame the refs and won anyway, Stern tried to keep us down but we wouldn't give in" I think it's a nice twist on the whole refs cost us the game motif.

2nd time in a week the Jazz are called for a BS foul in the final seconds because the opposing player runs into them and flops before the ball is inbounded. Cheaters get free throw and the ball. Total BS.
