Are ethnic Jews similar in appearance? I've read/seen stuff on early Jesus portraits being more olive but they never struck me as ME in appearance. Rome definitely whitetized the paintings.

Well, since we do not have any real evidence we can just judge by the idea that he was Jew. All Jews I know are white. Maybe not Scandinavian blonde white or German ginger white but still white. To be honest not sure what GVC was implying - that Jesus was black or asian?

Sucks for you if you are that sensitive. I think it's hilarious when people try to twist the skin color palette though. It seems straight forward enough. Pasty *** Italians in my neighborhood growing up always acted like they weren't white people despite the fact that they looked like every other white person.
