Dante Exum 33/5/4/4 Fiba U19 - full game

I cant understand the broadcasters. I just watched the whole thing. What number is exum

Surely you jest. He is the only black on the team and is number 7.

ya I kid. Didn't watch. Aint nobody got no time to watch full games of random prospects.

Plus he is playing against high school kids. Hard to gauge how good he is.

(in my dutchjazzer impersonation) In other words your slow *** US internet service won't load a video that long.

Do yourself a favor and watch the play at 1:06. It's the only play where he dominates "high school kids" and it is not not pretty.

D'you watch? He good enough to be where he's projected?

Playing for the Hoosiers next year. Book it. Double book it. Triple book it.

A project at this time

Watched some of the game, gut reaction:

Clearly the most "skilled" guy offensively on the court (U19 remember), smooth body control and offensive tools, good touch from 3, nice skills going to the hoop and finding open man, but overall, some major development needed.....

Slow release on jumper & heaved up two complete bricks from 3 (poor shot selection, since he could take to rim at will)
Fundamentals in general and defensive fundamentals in particular are very weak (standing around, not boxing out, horrendous help D).
No motor on D (waiting for O)
Relying on natural gifts and not BB IQ.
Poor decision making (mistimed shots and poor choices on some sloppy passes)
Sometimes out of control going to hoop
VERY raw fundamentally -- a PROJECT -- if drafted next year, he is not NBA ready. Will not be taken by team who wants quick impact
Most importantly, not a Jazzman, because his shirt was not tucked in.

Would be drafted 6-15 in 2014. Could be top 3 in 2015, depending on development. DEFINITELY, go to college, young man.

I haven't really been too excited about him, and this doesn't help. From your description he should go to school. He won't though. He'll get fed too much
hype in his ears from agents. He will go pro. BOOK IT

Not his agent's words though. His dad's words. And any team picking top5 is so horrible that they have the patience to develop him. He's the real deal and a analysis by silesian that doesn't point out his lightning quick and LONG first step is IMO not a valid analysis. His legs are storklike. His attitude is right. He'll struggle like every foreigner playing his first year overseas. But in year 2 I don't wanna be in his way.
