What's new

Jazz @ Blazers | Saturday November 20th @ 8pm

Didn't see the game live tonight. Was out. Reading through Smith's tweets throughout the game. I'm really amused by four successive tweets.

Took a miraculous 3 point barrage by CJ to win this game. He flat out demoralized them after that one from 26 feet. If Sloan was here I highly doubt CJ pulls the trigger on all those and ends up driving into traffic for the turnover, funny how things work out. Still clowned on the glass, 48 to 38, and ALdridge isn't even a good rebounder....just terrible.

Yeah CJ rocked tonight. We have gotten lucky a lot on the road. I still don't feel like the jazz have found a consistent way to win. Until we can box out and find a starting unit that will win first quarters we are mediocre. All these come from behind wins are taking their toll on D will and our team will suffer big time if he gets injured.

When is In Game Wankery going to come and give us his critique of tonight's game?

Always fun to see an armchair coach critique professionals from a foundation of utter ignorance.

Shows how desperate the Jazz are for someone who can shoot. Also Jazz really need to start rebounding better.

While he's not perfect, Fes is the best answer for have for an interior presence. I think his rebounding numbers will improve with consistent playing time.

I'm going to go against Dr. Phil and accentuate the negative: Our defense sucks. If Portland shoots better than 7 percent we lose going away. I see guys who don't know when to switch, guys who don't commit to double teams, and Al/Jeff are still figuring out how to play D next to one another. The good news is we seem to stop thinking and start playing when we're down. But man, this is like watching the D of 2 years ago sometimes.

On positive notes, CJ had a great game, Al was huge, and again I'm awestruck by our resiliency. And the best news is if we can weather the storm through Christmas, the schedule in January and February is tailor made for our traditional second half surge (before everybody gets hurt and we play the Lakers, of course.)

Still recovering from the fog of Four Loko....
did we really win?

Haha, I woke up pretty darn hungover thinking we had lost for some reason...despite my post history suggesting that I was actively watching the game in full last night. Prolly should take it easy with the devil's mouthwash.
