Following potential 2014 draftees

honestly it all depends on the team. if the team has the capable scorer than no doubt you take KG. the discrepancy between KG & dirk's defense is much greater han their O. kg's defense was just nasty. KG still gave you 22-24pts, but he would give you top 3 defense. KG was long as hell with the speed and stamina to play every damn minutes. and dat intensity yo.

but if the team is offensively challenged, then i can dirk being preferred.

Thing is Dirk has taken his team to the playoffs playing 1v5 with a full retirement squad after Cuban cracked the core after the chip. Then if he was healthy last year he'd have taken that team to the playoffs. And that team was featuring grandpa Kaman, OJ Mayo(who may now be JR Smith with a better personality) and some other stuff. He made everyone look so good that teams would want to give the (usually without Dirk)Bi-Annual level guys a Full MLE if they weren't 35 already.
Dirk's career numbers are simply better.
But I agree that KG is a valuable and strong 2 way player. He may be the Big Man version of Paul George of the last 1 and a half decade. He's just not in that LeBron, Duncan, Durant, Dirk and Kobe stratosphere. And I feel like that's where that wolf dude is setting the threshold for superstar.

anyway we need to look very hard at nick staukas in the 2nd round. dude has a long range, improved his handle, and drastically improved his court vision. he could come in and immediately be our 3pt specialist.

Suggested him somewhere. Would complement the team super good if you part ways with Hayward and get a new wing whose outside game may be not that strong.

dirks' offensive career numbers are simply better. but everything else it's KG. if dirk and kg came out in the same draft knowing what they would bring, you take KG every time.

problem is if michigan continues to struggle, he might just stay one more year.

Extremely tough choice but I probably take KG..... barely

me too. i like dirk, but his defense pisses me off sometimes.

anyway, gordon was another solid game that doesn't show up in the stat sheet. he made a key defensive play at the end and made some key FTs. i like this kid at #8-#9.

i fully expect him to be 43-45% 3pt shooter in nba. could even get better. he has variety of moves and he isn't just a spot up shooter. he has surprisingly quick 1st step and shown he can finish around the rim.

If he was black...

Of course, GMs don't have a clue about foreign players. Except if the SPurs had the #1...

Don't look at his man on man D. Nearly no PF plays anything close to man on man D that's good. His simply looks lackluster in addition. He's watching the playbook of his opponents and he calls plays. That helps everyone around defend. Plus he's got length which bothers some in the lane. The career differential in offensive and defensive rating simply speaks for Dirk as does every other category. He makes playing on both ends easier for others and doesn't try to kill his teammates like KG. The Spurs FO guys would take Dirk ;)

We talking KG vs Dirk? KG all day yo.
