14th Tank Platoon

Boston won and Orlando lost.

Philly and Milwaukee are both very much in their games still.

Boston and Philly won! Great night for the tank. Utah regains the 3rd spot with a 1/2 game lead on Philly and Boston.

Mil is down 2.

It's that hip-flexor thing that's been going around.

LOL.. are you serious right now?

I bet Lindsey's like: "Hey Hayward, we'll give you Favors' money. But you guys must do what we say from now on and alternate this injury thing until we get Jabari."

Kings lost Gay and Cousins last night. Jazz need to "come down with" some more injuries. Kings are now serious tank contenders in the West if these injuries are serious.

****.

Not a prayer that we hold off Sacto now.

Hurts because they fall into the "not very good but trying" camp more than the tanking camp, but if these injuries are srs (sounds like Gay's is), they will drop to the Sixers, Lakers, Celtics level of tanking which is just above the Bucks and Magic level.

Elite Tank. Unstoppable.

Bucks

Magic

Soon to be Elite Tank

Sixers- Zero doubt they will start unloading talent soon. They are willing tankers, but have too many good players right now. That will change.

Celtics- Damn that dirty Zoob Ainge. They will continue to shed any talent they have.

Up in the air, tbh

Lakers- I honestly don't know if they are going to intentionally tank, but they are bad enough that they might not have to if Kobe doesn't return soon'ish.

Kings- I think they want to win, and they can't really afford to alienate fans with tanking. Problem is, they are the Kings and if Gay's injury is srs or Cousins misses time, they won't have to try and tank.

Saved by teh trades

Knicks- They can't tank, they don't own their pick. Lets hope they aren't so bad it doesnt matter. I'm still not worried about these guys.

Pelicans- Their pick is top 5 protected, but throwing away the season and doing everything they can to get a top 5 pick just seems incredibly risky. They could try everything possible and still finish 6th or 7th. I see it being more likely that they get some of their guys back and go on a little mini surge later in the season.

Sucky teams making a #playoffpush

Cleveland- They are obviously making a playoff push with the Deng trade, but damn they suck. Irving could be lost for the season at any time too. Fragile dude.

Detroit- Not really that worried, but they still have the potential to fall.

Charlotte- They are the Bobcats.

Right now I see Milwaukee, Orlando, Philadelphia, and Boston as teams that will for sure finish with a worse record than us, and the Lakers and Kings as teams that I would bet on to finish below the Jazz, leaving us at #7 headed into the lottery.

While I like your enthusiasm. Have you crosschecked their opponents schedules? Are they on a long road trip? 2nd of a back to back? Vucevic projects to be out longer as his recovery from the concussion is slow reportedly. I'm not sure they'll be so successful.

True but there are 8 games against other tanking teams (Bucks, Celtics, Cavs, Knicks, lakers and Pelicans). That is not even including the two Detroit games. I could see Orlando winning 4-5 of those games... That would still only be 5-12 or 4-13.

It is going to be tough for the Jazz to catch either Orlando or the Bucks. Both of these teams have had a poor run lately so maybe they get sick of losing and get a few wins. I think Boston will start winning more. They are not really trying to tank. Now if they trade Rondo then they are in full tank mode.

I think the Lakers are contenders simply because they have had a lot of injuries. The farther they fall back the more likely they are just going to go all in on the tank.

Philly has young talent so they are kind of like us so hopefully the Jazz will get some space between them as they have to play more Western conference foes. I am now worried about the Kings with the Gay and Cousins injuries if either are serious.
