The OFFICIAL don't draft Joel Embiid thread

So is 250 pounds for an 18-year old with a likely minimal focus on strength training still "skinny body frame"? I need answers because I'm starting to think that Beantown is possibly the worst thing to happen to the internet.

Draftexpress has him listed at 240. I'm not saying he won't grow but a lot of the great NBA centers currently are in the 265-280 range. I currently see him more of just a Tyson Chandler player. A great defender but somebody that's not going to dominate....just a great role player.

And in this draft he better be one of the next great big men in the league to deserve that #1 selection.

You can be a douche bag all you want.

-He actually only 7 ft. There are plenty of 7 footers in the league. Very tall would be someone like Yao, Thabeet, Gobert...etc

I'm saying all you know about him is he's a tall black guy from Africa. You havent watched him play.

Embiid = Tyson chandler?!?! ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahajhaah

I'll continue being a douche bag, and you continue to take the wrong position on almost every conceivable issue.

And for the record, I don't know the future for Embiid, but your reasoning for your opinion are terrible (Embiid has a terrific frame, he's bigger than Anthony Davis, he isn't raw offensively, he's productive in limited minutes, he is not as big of a project as they come [he'd be less of a project than Kanter or Favors were], and comparing him to Hasheem Thabeet is just embarrassing) and have been thoroughly trounced for a reason.

Also, even if Embiid reaches his best case scenario(Ibaka or Bynum), isn't the whole purpose of the tank to get a number one option because we currently don't have one? How would drafting a complimentary player help the Jazz? I mean, even Dwight Howard has turned out to be simply a nice complimentary player, and we should spend our number one pick on the second coming of Serge Ibaka?

I seriously think you have the worst basketball knowledge and understanding of the NBA of anyone on this board.

I'm sorry to say that and wouldn't be flat out rude like that if I wasn't sure that you are good at other things in life.

Of course I have seen him play. I have ESPN gramps...and I don't need my nurse to show me how to use it.

This makes it even worse. At least beforehand, you could have excused your ridiculous takes by saying "well I was just going off of highlights".

Now you are basically admitting to having the IQ of a vegetable

How dumb and blind are you?....Thabeet was supposed to be the next great big man in the NBA.

Holy ****ing **** no he wasn't.

EVERYONE was laughing at Memphis when they took Thabeet #2.

People thought he could clog the paint on defense, but had a very low ceiling.

Srs bro, you have no idea what you're talking about.

Embiid's best case scenario is becoming a possibly worse offensive player than he already is (Ibaka)? How is Ibaka comparable to Andrew Bynum? What?

Thinking Embiid shouldn't be drafted over Parker and Wiggins is one thing.

Thinking the Jazz should select Luke Babbitt over Gordon Hayward is the dumbest thing I have ever heard.

Yet everyone crucifies me....and all the other dumbasses on here get free passes...makes no sense.
