So me and the fam are headed out this summer and want a new cultural experience.. looking for ideas.

We were going to spend the summer in the Florida Keys.. again... but I just want a new experience.
Thinking about going to Patagonia Chile/Argentina.. also considering the Copper Canyon region of Mexico...

Any ideas?

The one place I've been that I really want to take my wife one day is Hong Kong. Maybe you've already been. One of my reasons for liking it so much was that it was one of the most affordable places I visited. But really, the best thing was that there was fantastic food everywhere. Unfortunately I was there with a bunch of squids so they wanted to hit up Popeye's Chicken and Subway, which they had, but I did manage to eat at a few of the good local places, one of which was ironically an Indian restaurant. Lucky for my buddies I knew how to order at an Indian restaurant or I bet they would have been dissapointed (they wouldn't have had basmati or naan bread). But it was the best Indian food I've ever had. It's a huge city, obviously, so there's plenty to do.

Is there somebody underneath that table throwing up a peace sign?^ The hand placement doesn't look right for anyone in the pic.

@PKM Chile sounds cool...

Also, if I ever find myself in an Asian country I will have either been everywhere on Earth already and running out of places to be, or I will have been kidnapped.

Haha, throwing the peace sign like Japanese tourists was our thing. It was Friske but it does look super weird.

Agree about Asia too .. not really into it. Except the bishes be tight as **** doe.

I like mixing with locals that are unused to tourists... read that how you may..
 
Go to Central America and tour some Mayan ruins. After my mission, my parents came down and we spent a week there. We toured the ruins at Copan and it was one of the coolest things I've ever done.

I'd imagine they're all pillaged out. I wouldn't think those super poor third world countries would have left a lot of gold and jade in them before opening to the public.

I was into Asian chicks until I visited a number of Asian cities and never saw a single hot chick in any of them. I'm convinced all the hot Asian girls live in the U.S. Not a joke.

It was part of what probably started the entire flash mob thing. He had a "dance off" in the hanger bay of an aircraft carrier that caught a bunch of people off guard.

You're not finding any that haven't been pillaged by the locals already. There are thousands of unexcavated temple mounds that are almost always tunneled through by the time the archeologists peel the jungle off of them.
