Hayward

So I'm going to avoid the greed and corporations discussions and jump right to a question....

Was Hayward arguing with Sydney Lowe at the end of the 2nd quarter against the warriors?

I was out last night so I was not watching the game, but the espn (or was it TNT?) got turned on where I was just as garrett hit the shot to end the second quarter, they showed garrett and the jazz run down the tunnel, then they showed Hayward and Lowe talking still on the floor with Corbin watching them, Hayward seemed to say something to Lowe, then back away, then Lowe grabbed hayward by the arm, pulled at him and said something...then the video cut away to the warriors then a replay of Garrett's shot. Then someone changed the channel.

Did anyone else see it? Does anyone know what was happening?

thats interesting....

Hayward with only 2 blocks in the last 8 games. I think he is due. Also shot 50% fg and 56% 3pt in jan. He is on his normal trajectory to get better every month of the season. I like that trend. I worry what he does when we are back in the playoffs again though.

Regarding Stock taking less, it's the mark of a selfless team player. It is definitely very rare, but would you believe me if I told you the spurs don't have a max player and Tim Duncan makes $361,000 more than Tiago Splitter this year. It doesn't mean Hayward is a bad guy, just means he's not one of those guys who is willing to partner with a franchise and sacrifice to put together a better team than they normally could. At least not now with this team.

Hayward's stats are good lately. He is inconsistent. My biggest worry is I don't trust him in clutch.

I dunno what this means.. but Hayward hasn't earned the right to pull this "DWill stunt" IMO... He is still wildly inconsistent and lacking an unstoppable go-to move on offense.

I like Hayward but how many to's does the guy average just in the fourth quarter, I bet at least 3 or 4. That is not a good stat.

My fear with Hayward is if he's not good enough for a big contract, but teams like PHX and BOS are gonna put in a BIG offer anyway as they're confident Brad Stevens or Hornacek can work with Hayward and make him a better player.

If that's the case we're ****ed.

I like Gordon, but damn, he's had the worst handle in the league and it's not getting better. Stop trying to dribble!

Maybe he should get some jailhouse tats... And start to do the CRAB WALK with LeBron and the rest of the inmates!!!

Did not see it..............but it does go with the observation I made in the game thread. Looks like some of the young players have had it with Ty and might be playing badly because of it.

Agree ... Hayward is a good all-around player, borderline All-Star, who probably would make the All-Star team next year if he played in the East. But I doubt he will be a super star, good second / third option.

totally agree
Hayward is a must-stay guy

"Ugly side of greed" Really? This is the kind of attitude that prompted me to create this thread. How exactly is trying to earn a pay raise greedy? Millions of people do this every day when they go to their normal jobs, are they greedy for trying to get a raise too?

Once you're making over the 'CEO10k/day' threshold and still want a pay rise... yes you're a greedy.

Won't happen. If you are Boston or PHX, and you no money is no issue with the Jazz, do you make an offer to Hayward knowing that you will:

1- tie your money up for three days
2- not get Hayward
3- miss out on another player
4- piss a potential trade partner out

Hayward will not get any offers from other teams this year.

Wa wa. This is America. If you want to make 10K/day, do it. Be better. Work harder. Take your slice of the pie.

I'll take that bet.

Give me one reason why anyone would give Hayward an offer. Especially considering that Utah said they would match the offer and seeing how well the Jazz are playing, they will NEED Hayward when they don't get Parker or Wiggins.

Sure.

1. This is the NBA
2. NBA select/maybe team USA
3. All around player
4. You didn't specify that it had to be max money
5. Rumors already circulating from Phoenix and Boston

Did I mention Franklin owns a Vietnamese sweat shop?
