I was a white kid from Utah, who played 4 positions at times, and regularly guarded the PF or took the 3 or 4 spot on zone, and then brought the ball up the court as PG. It made for some fun matchup issues and I took advantage where I could, and sometimes I was viewed as a dirty player. Obviously I was not and was just a wonderfully clean kid, angelic really.

As a result I got called names regularly, things that I guarantee you would never hear those people say in any other context. One in particular, we had gone to the SLC to play an out of conference game. My cousins lived near there, and I wanted to spend the weekend. It was cool with my parents as long as I went to church with them on Sunday. We played Friday night and during the game I got into it with some guy that looked a little like that fan that went at Smart. He was saying some seriously vile ****, of course I amped up the dirty play because I was a smart-*** teen, and I picked up a T for holding after a made basket or something, stuff like that, but he took it to another level. I believe he used the C word and the F word flowed freely. It was genuinely fun to go to church that Sunday and see the guy stand up to conduct stake business as the high councilman apparently. I went up to the podium after and said "hey no hard feelings buddy", thanked him for his service in the church, and shook his hand. The look on his face was unbelievable. You would have thought Jesus himself had just called him out in front of the entire group during sacrament meeting for ************. Priceless.
