Seeing as how someone once got called to task for using the phrase "cotton-pickin'," I'd be careful with this kind of language. I know, you probably didn't even realize it when you wrote it. It took me several years after moving from Utah (and a few gentle - and not so gentle - reminders) to rid myself of demeaning racial phrases.
