Earlier seasons had Jerry Sloan not start the year as head coach.

1996-97 season started 7-2 on the road, 13-2 at home.

98-99 was the strike shortened year. Started 8-4 on the road, 11-1 at home.

Current Jazz are 6-3 at home, 7-2 on the road, with the next 6 at home.

You just jinxed the team and this board you curmudgeon.

Hey, brough, how are you? Anyway, the purpose of this response to your post is to suggest the notion that you most likely do not know what 'curmudgeon' actually means. If you did, you would not use it for the likes of CJ. In fact, from what I've seen more often than not, you seem to fit the definition much more appropriately than our resident dunce, err, CJ. Good day, kind sir.

...thanks for the leg work and stat compilation!

Doh! I shouldn't show this thread to my sister. She's probably as superstitious as any of you. :)

Let's see, while we're at it: The Jazz are going to win 40 games in a row!! lol

If you start counting wins more than a week in advance, I gaurantee you will be disappointed more often than not.
I never start counting potential wins more than a week in advance. It's alot easier to deal with expectation-wise when an unexpected loss pops up, and you'll enjoy the wins alot more. Right now I'm looking at home games against the Bucks and Pacers before a nationally televised showdown with Dallas Friday night at ESA. Hopefully we can win those two and ride that momentum into Friday's huge game.

....Jazz don't believe in jinxes or luck...none of that stuff! We believe in our system....picks, screens, defense, low turnovers, high percentage shots....bust your butt defense!
