I think poetic justice would be if GS misses the playoffs by one game, then beats all odds and amazingly wins the lottery (for the Jazz)...

Didn't that happen to Cleveland after they lost LeBron? They got lucky in the lottery and got the #1 pick?
Poetic justice would be Barnes continuing to struggle and Burks becoming an all-star. Had the Jazz gotten Barnes, they would not have had the ammo to move up for Trey.

TBH, I'm more excited about the 2nd-rounders. Jazz have done pretty well with 2nd's and not all that great with their 1st's. Trade the GS pick with Milwaukee straight up. Will give us a greater chance of getting a rotation quality player, just like finishing 3-5 gives us a greater chance of moving up to #1.

Haven't done well with our first round picks??? Getting quality players that haven't turned out to be busts is a great accomplishment. You can't expect to get stars everytime your pick too 10ish. And for everyone of those stars there are a lot of busts. I'm just saying that the jazz are an above average picking team. Now the cavs are a different story, they are a bad picking team with 1st rounders for example.
