Break out, or fluke...

Not trying to hate on Kanter, and I'm sure some of it is coaching, but Favors is the better player and brings more to the team and is more consistent.

But that's my opinion.

We are forced to out score teams, Kanter tends to make more mistakes and isn't the passer Favors is. Not saying Favors is a great passer, but miles ahead of Kanter. The offense runs better with Favors. Jazz play a better 2 way game with Favors.

I don't know anymore. Kanter has had 2 really good passing games in the past week and a half. He didn't rack up the assists last night, but he had some nice passes, even a cool outlet pass.

I agree with UGLI. There are other factors related to the won-loss record besides Kanter, and I'm not even sure Kanter is related to it, at all. In last night's game, it was his scoring that brought the Jazz back and kept them in the game in the first half.

Of course there is, But with Kanter in the starting lineup our record beyond bad. Favors does more to help us win.

I will add that the only other player that showed up was Hayward, so obviously I don't Blaine Kanter

I think Favors hip is still bothering him. You could tell he was a lot less active in this game compared to the Indiana game.

I sure hope so. Recently I've got the sense that he just doesn't show up to play against lesser competition.

I notice he always plays hard against stars, or teams with great records, but is very passive against those he thinks he's better than.

Fluke.

Enes is the reason Millsap is no longer here, so screw him. I miss Millsap's winning attitude and hard work ethic. Enes doesn't have any of the intangibles Sap has.

I think it was just a bummer of a matchup for Favors. There weren't any dominate low-post bigs for him to showcase his stellar D in the paint and he's not as able to take advantage of weak low-post defenders like Kanter can. I'm sure watching film before this meeting the Jazz were positive Kanter would have a good game.

They tried some Favors isos early on and they weren't all that great.

Is someone argueing the opposite?
I think most people believe that favors is the better all around player and he should be. Favors played college ball, probably played more basketball against better players while growing up, is older, and has had more opportunity/experience in the pros.

I dont think this thread is about who is better out of favors and kanter right now.
I think the thread was asking if kanter is really a good scorer and rebounder like he showed last night, or was it a fluke?
I think he is a good scorer and rebounder at a very young age playing for a crummy team with a crummy coach and a crummy system.
