Corbin hates Kanter?

He is gifted, no doubt. He also appears to be dumb as a rock which is why I see him as a poor mans al Jefferson. Type of dude that puts up stats, but never wins you games. Been there done that. I just don't see how he fixes dumb.

I don't see him as dumb. I see him as uneducated. I guess our difference is that I think he will increase his BBIQ and you do not (or not enough anyways). Correct?

You, a fan, believe a third year pro who is uneducated? Please do explain.

Kanter got a late start to proffesional BB. His BBIQ is not at a level that we would like. I see that more as a result of his late start to BB and then missing out at UK than an issue of him being smart or dumb. I think those two things has delayed his learning curve on BB. So over time as he gets more experience and ages his BBIQ will go up.

Your implication that a fan cannot have a BBIQ greater than a player is foolish. Am I that fan? Hardly. But there are fans out there that show exceptonal BBIQ and players that show horrible BBIQ.

Let me get this straight: you believe a player who has played almost three years of organized, professional basketball has not had enough time to learn basketball?

I think Corbin doesn't trust Kanter, not neccesarily hates him. Corbin is coaching for his life/next coaching gig right now. Kanter is still bad on defense but he isn't the biggest issue. Our TEAM defense is just awful and Kanter gets exposed because our wings can't keep up.
Kanter's struggles come to coaching imo. Kanter has a lot of physical tools to be a solid player but he needs to be coached. Corbin would rather play a vet than knows a little more than Kanter rather than let him learn and grow on the court.
It's so sad that a #3 pick we got from the D-Wil trade is being so under utilized. With the season being a waste you would think Corbin would get the hint from the FO that his job would be safer if he developed youth while losing, instead of playing vets and still losing

Talking about leakers forcing Kanter to rotate to them. If Favors and Kanter were out there together, Favors would stem the leak because he's quicker. , then logical rotations would ensue until opposing offense is forced to reset.

You're absolutely right that we have no control over what an opposing guard does after burning our perimeter defense. If they go Kanter's way (kanter in paint, not rotating to foul line/elbow) he goes straight up in the paint, which is what he's been doing. That's about the best you can ask of any non shot blocker when the guard is coming at you.

I have no clue what you're talking about with "leakers" coming inside and forcing a rotation. Do you have a specific setup in mind to help me understand what you're getting at?

Let me get this straight: you feel a coach that has spent his entire life in basketball has not had enough time to learn basketball?

Players can, and often do, increase their skills and BBIQ over time. Same with coaches.

For example. Kanter does not pull the ball down so low anymore on an offensive rebound. He learned and increased his knowledge. Gasp

That's a fundamental skill, not BBIQ. SMH

Point stands. Or are you seriously saying that after 3 years Kanter has all the BBIQ he is going to acquire? If so does that stance hold true for Corbin?
