No, because many "typical Jazz fans" (maybe yourself included) will apologize for Sloan until he retires. Sloan is good at motivating and has a good system. He is bad at in-game management, and it showed last night. Until he is better at it, it is unlikely that Utah will have a chance as a title, even though I think that they have enough talent to do so.(Hey, not right to change your post after I've responded, I will now remove the word "idiot" from my post)

Out of haterade yet? You guess wrong. More height was the correct answer; maybe Fesenko, possibly Elson. Sloan was mesmerized by Millsap's work ethic and not his results, Harpring style. Before the game, I posted that Millsap's contribution needed to be monitored, and PM was left in the game way too long.
If the "dude" that you're talking about is Fesenko, then it's a poor timing to do so, given that (1) Sloan played very little of the backup lineup that had worked for the previous games and showed promise (in pieces) in this game (except for 4 minutes at the beginning of the second quarter when that lineup outscored Dallas 8 to 4); and (2) Fesenko matched Millsap's rebounding and Kirilenko's scoring in less than 12 minutes of play with zero turnovers (vs. Elson's 4 TOs, which garnered him more PT than Fes anyway).
Sloan has EVERYTHING to do with leaving him out there when he is playing lazy defense. That's the core of my mantra: play the players and combos who are producing, and sit the players who aren't--especially if it's due to lack of effort.
There was an alternative here, too: CJ. Although AK wasn't impressive in brief time against Nowitzki, he should've been used more on Dirk and maybe Marion anyway.
There were alternatives here, too. Such as a 7-footer who scored as many points + rebounds as he played minutes last night, with nary a TO.
This had EVERYTHING to do with Sloan, who instead of using what had WORKED, didn't give DW a rest. Sloan even kept him on the court alongside Watson (instead of playing Price, who was an excellent option vs. Terry and letting DW get his legs back).
I was less disappointed with Jefferson's play, although getting stuffed once or twice by an opposing 7-footer when he was going in for a layup might have been a sign to Sloan or any other nonsenile coach that height was a big part of the problem.
XYA (Examine your Apologism). No, it's not all Sloan; if the players magically played well anyway, there woudl be no need for a coach. But this game was one of the clearest in a long time of Jer's repeated failures in matchup assessment, fatigue management, and analysis of effective combinations.

You're asking if there are any discussion forums that don't discuss the games? Maybe you should go down to the local sports bar and talk Jazz with the experts there. You'd probably fit right in.
I'm talking about the fact people jump on the opportunity to attack whichever aspect of the team they dislike. One bad game, and suddenly, and CJ/AK/Sloan/whatever becomes a liability that we must not tolerate. I never said anything about discussing the game.

Kind of like how you were raging on Jefferson 7 games into the season? Come on now.
You keep bringing this up. I made no more than a couple of posts questioning Jefferson's effort. No more and no less. My objections were valid. As soon as he started to put forth respectable effort, I stopped complaining. I didn't even say one word about his performance last night. I understand that players have off-nights. AJ is playing great defense, and has become a solid rebounder. I never doubted he had it in him, but it was clear he was not trying.

Well, there ya have it then, eh? All purty simple actually. S2 called it, sho nuff. We woulda won this game by 40 if he was coach. Truth be told, the first 25,000 times that S2 told us that Sloan is senile and not 1/10th of the coachin genius S2 himself is, I still kinda held back, and reserved doubts. But repetition kinda makes ya see the light, know what I'm sayin?

Ahh yes. Mr. AK. The invisible man out there. Guess I didn't even notice him.
Fes should have played more in the seconf half. That, and we need a shooting guard that can shoot. Also, our packup PG, Watson, sucks at the 3-ball. And Kidd outplayed D-Will. We could have and should have won this game, but we seemed passive at times (especially on some loose balls).
