Following potential 2014 draftees

The boners people get over Gordon for the few highlight dunks he gets every few games are incredible. But the key is potential. Same thing with LaVine, potential. The kid has the physical tools of Westbrook or Rose. If he continues to develop, he will be an incredible player. The holes in his game are just as concerning as the many holes in Gordon's game.

It's foolish to focus on the potential (and ignore the weaknesses) on one while only focusing on the weaknesses (and ignore the potential) of the other.

Why not assume that both Gordon and LaVine will continue to develop?

Also, that is laughable if you think that is all he does.

I know a lot of people close to the Arizona program and they tell me that Gordon shoots Free Throws in the high 70's in practice. The current theory is that he plays at such a high amperage that the slower parts of the game like free throws are effected when he gets at game speed. The upside is that his free throw stroke is not the thing that is broken here. If his free throws are your only concern, that will be worked through. I love how he constantly comes up big right when he is needed. Saw it all year here in Tucson, also saw it in the offseason championship play last summer. WIll not shed a tear if we end up with him.

The difference is Gordon can play in the NBA next year, Lavine can't. He won't be able to guard anyone for a couple of years. He might as well stay in school.

Gordon had a near perfect game today, except for 3 missed free throws. If you guys aren't going to want to draft a guy over his free-throw shooting, then that is just plain stupid. Gordon stepped up big when Johnson was 0-10 from the field.

Russell Westbrook was 6'2 and 175lbs coming out of HS... not in the Rivals 150 in 2006

so i think thats part of the Westbrook comparison, they have the late bloomer thing in common.

The thunder said the reason they picked Westbrook was for his PG abilities. The team that chooses LaVine will likely be projecting him at PG

Both are kind of reckless. along with the Obvious explosion quickness i think thats really how the Westbrook comparison came to be

Not to mention stepping up his D with Zeus in foul trouble all game.

It's about as laughable as you proclaiming that the only reason why people here are interested in LaVine is because of a "few good games."

8 total points in the Tourney despite playing good minutes.

Gordon has been the leading scorer for his team in two tourney games, and the 2nd leader scorer in the 1st agme.
