Very surprised to see loserville still a 4pt favorite.

Other three games today are between 1 and 2 pt spreads.

Since I'm foreign and not familiar with your gambling/betting rules and systems I'ma just ask:

What does 4pt favorite mean? How does it work?
Over here you have odds that are like 3 or something like that, which mean that for each dollar you bet you get an extra 2 dollars back as extra winnings.

im gonna be rooting for UK. i need MSU Louisville and Iowa St for my bracket though

UK held Montrezl Harrell to 6points and 4 rebounds earlier this year. hes probably the X-factor in the game

My predictions are:
Tennessee > Michigan
UConn > IowaState
UK > LV
MSt > UVA

I'm going to pick all the teams I want to win

Michigan over Tenn 87-73
Iowa St. over UConn 81-77
UK over Louisville 72-71
UVA over Mich St. 69-66

its for betting even money on a game. instead of odds you get added points to the final score of the game for betting the underdog, and for betting the favorite you have to cover the extra points in the spread

so in the Elite 8 Game Florida(-10) vs Dayton, dayton only has to lose by 9 to win the bet, and florida cant win unless they win by more than 10

the Jazz are 23-49 this year but 32-37-3 against the spread because they are so often underdogs and getting extra points in the betting line

And how much money do you get in return when you're right on your bet?
like 1.95$ for each so the Casino has profits? Or does the Casino only win when the prediction is exactly met? Like when It's actually Florida winning by exactly 10 points?

most places take a slice so if you bet $20 you probably only win 19, but for the most part its even money

the casino wins when the number is on the money even though the bets a push, they take their little percentage and give everyone their money back. They also win when the masses are wrong which happens often, big favorites usually get way over-inflated spreads and people still flock to them (the heat are 31-37-2 against the spread) and for sure theres been more betting on them than against

small market teams playing good ball are often noticed late by the masses, Pheonix has the best record in the NBA against the spread 46-24-2

Now I get it :D

Sorry PKM, but can't have my boi Randle's stock going higher than it already is... so on that basis, it's gonna be Louisville FTW for me.

Sorry.

Why does Tennessee use a zone vs 99% 3 point shooting team? I don't get it.

not a smart coaching move. michigan shreds zone. it's their thing. remember how they shreded Cuse's zone last year?

damn, can beilein coach for us? that dude is an offensive genius.

vols can't possibly run with michigan. they gotta make this an ugly half court game.

can we have stauskas with our warriors pick and glenn robinson with our 2nd? please??

Martin is not a good coach. Only thing I can think of is he's just trying to slow the game down.. and sucking at it.

Beilein is awesome if 3's are falling and very meh if the 3's aren't.

Tennessee can't guard Michigan no matter what type of defense they play. Playing two big slow-footed guys against this type of offense is death.

Iowa State really starting to miss Niang now.

that's true, but this michigan team has too many shooters. it's hard for them to be cold all together. and since they don't have trey, they really do rely on shooting ability. they are a typical elite 8 team who can't win it all because of their deficiency in size and pg play. but if they do get to final four then it means our boy stauskas is playing like the mvp

they really do look slow and lethargic. they look confused on D. i thought D was their thing. only saw 2 vols game all season and i thought they played solid D.

Beilein is a very good coach. The shots usually fall when your team takes good shots.

I was expecting that Michigan's void of an inside presence would hurt them against the athletic Tennessee guys. Then they play zone to allow them the only thing Michigan is good at. Letting them shoot Star Trek 3 point percentage in the first half...
I think I'm losing money in this game unless their coach tells them to play real defense...

I'm also impressed by UConn. Winning money on this prediction! Some lucky shots but I like their rim protector and their veteran guards are money
