14th Tank Platoon

Awesome. Sac is getting out of reach. Wednesdays game against Lakers will either put them completely out of reach, or give us some breathing room with the Lakers. NY putting some distance between themselves and the Jazz. Only 7 minutes to go. Lets just hope that somehow Boston can win a few games against those pesky 76ers.

Yep. Sacto isn't going to catch us.

We're dueling with the Celtics though. They've been losing games like it's going out of style.

We're getting 4th.

Even thought we still have to worry about LA, Boston looks like our biggest rival. Not only do they have 2 games against Philly left, but all of their remaining games are against Eastern teams.

We got this.

If we end up 4th, the most likely scenario statistically would be to fall back to 5th in the lotto, meaning we're probably looking at Randle or Exum.

so here's a tough scenario. Say the Jazz win against NO and GS loses their next two against Dal and SA, then win against Sac. Who do you want to win at that point, GS or the Jazz? GS is 1 1/2 games ahead of Dal, Mem and Pho (if memphis wins tonight) and has the easier schedule. They might need to go 3-6 to miss out on the playoffs. That would put GS at 1-3, but only 1 playoff team left on their schedule (@Portland).

We always seem to get screwed relying on other teams to help us. Just lose and get the most ping pong balls.

Or Smart or Gordon or Vonleh.

It will all come down to individual workouts. There are a group of players closely grouped and each has strengths/weaknesses. I just wish Utah could get a few players on their team who could actually shoot. Seriously, is it that difficult as a pro to take a dribble to get open and put the ball in the hoop. Every team Utah plays has 3 guys who can do just that. Jazz has Hayward, who takes a step and launches up an air ball.

Wiggins and Parker are the only guys that really fit that description.

For me this draft is almost only these two players....Bucks, 76ers and Magic understood it very well!

The only positive thing is that these two players will go very likely to a Eastern Conference team.

I get so tired of this argument. With the team we had, Jazz were NEVER going to be as bad as those teams. Only reasons Utah isn't in the 9-11 range is the terrible season Hayward is having and the occasional injuries to Favors. Even WITH Burke, the Jazz likely start the season 4-11 (at best). That was a BRUTAL schedule. Jazz were never as bad as the 1-14 record. Or, Utah could have followed the Philly model and traded Favors, Hayward and Burks for 2nd round picks. Yep, that would resulted in a bottom-3 record.
