Don't sleep on Dante.
Bucks and Magic are not that bad as they seem and you will see it in the next season....they could have won different games if they had wanted... they lost many close games and played different overtime just to entertain their fans! They have sat regularly in turn their best players the whole season with an evident tank! In additon they played only their young and new players to evaluate them.
The Celtics made something similar. The 76ers is another argument...they dismantled the team!
I'm not saying that the main objective of the Jazz should have been to tank this season....but the 1-14 start could have been an incentive to change their plans! It means fire Corbin, trade RJ and Marvin asap or at least before the trade deadline....and take a coach that starts always the Core5 and substitute them with Clark, Gobert, Rush, JL3, Evans and Biedrins! In little words keep the games tight with the Core5 but lose almost always because of the poor bench! I believe that in this way we could have battled the Bucks and 76ers to finish in the bottom-2 to get Parker or Wiggins, lottery permitting.
The Jazz have been too fair with Corbin giving him the chance to earn the contract extension till the end of this season. Unfortunately the loyalty has always characterized our franchise.
We have tanked the season unintentionally and I don't complain about it....but this team has too many questions marks! The Core5 is still a work in progress and there is the big risk to overpay Hayward.
The only way to not call this season totally wasted is to not continue with Corbin next year + top 5 in the draft....and at this point of the season the premises are good!

Umm...we'd be tied with Orlando right now if it wasn't for a game winner by Ice Trey.

C4 said it was always silly to think we could be on the same tank level as Orlando when we are. Beating Orlando out for the 3rd spot was entirely possible.

I like Exum, but his jumper is more questionable than Wiggins' or Parker's, and that's what was being discussed.
I'd be down to see Exum in a Jazz jersey.

Yup. He's like 10x the player MCW is, a triple double machine. The only thing I don't like about Exum is his attitude and how he's pretty much said that he only wants to play for the lakers. He should be freaking great flu to get on any nba team.

When did he actually say this? I've only seen other people say it. I remember reading him saying he wouldn't mind playing with oladipo in orlando but that's it.

He said that LA would be a great place for him to play. He likes the idea of being mentored by Kobe, and he loves the city. He also shares the same agent as Kobe.
I think people are blowing it a bit out of proportion. Not sure where the "he'll only work out for LA" rumors began.
Difference only is: Jazz play West games 52 games a season, Magic play East game that often. So the Magic's 20 wins are worth more like 15 wins if the conferences were balanced better and the Jazz 20 wins are worth 25 wins because each night you see Harden, Paul, Durant, Aldridge etc...
HE never said that. He said he'd like to play in LA because Kobe is one of his favorite players and he's been to LA before and likes the city.
Plus he said he wouldn't mind Orlando because they're a young team and he'd fit in and get a lot of playing time while developing.
I guess since Indiana was his favorite NCAA landing spot he's bonded a little with Oladipo on his visits. That's only my guess and maybe he wants to reunite with his buddy.
Also consider he's from Australia. That probably influences his climatic preferences. Once he's in the league 2 years he'll realize that gyms and planes generally don't care about climate and they're all the same!

They liked Smart last year.
I'd be willing to give up a ton for Jabari. Almost anything is on the table.
They could get Smart from us with out pick, and we could offer anything from Burke, Kanter, GS pick, future GS pick, future picks of any sort.
Hell we'll give them Park City.
If we end up 4th, and Orlando 2nd or 3rd. It seems like we can lure them into swapping picks. Unless they are really in love with Parker.
