Following potential 2014 draftees

Just curious how wiggins defensive rating compares to these guys

his D rating is bad, 102.8, worse than Jabari's. offensively though he rates on par with Jabari and Randle.

Vonleh is a stud using this metric, he produced 113points per 100 possessions on offense and allows 91.7 points per 100 possessions on D

As pointed out earlier: I don't put too much emphasis into that metric alone. It's more of a stat that shows how successful the teamdefense is that the coach installed.
Embiid for example has a 90.9 DRtg. The 2nd best of Kansasians or whatever these folks are called is Tarik Black with 99.3
The things I interpret out of this are the following:
-Embiid is an elite rim protector and defender on the college level.
-Bill Self failed to keep his defense intact after Embiid went down(I know the numbers were better when Embiid still was healthy)
-For everyone else I don't see much seperation. So other than Embiid there was no standout defender who bailed out Self.

You seem really sure of yourself in all things. I like how you state things as fact and not merely your opinion. It shows a lot of moxie and an elite level of "jib cuttedness".

Congratulations.

i dont mind O and D rating honestly. Anthony Davis is muuuuch better than any of the prospects the last 3 years in college, which i like, and seems legit. hes the gold standard for this metric for sure.

139 ORtg, 80.3 DRtg

I'm not sure if that's a sincere compliment or sarcastic critic. Please resolve. I feel confused like Sheldon Cooper right now.

That's a monstrous number. Anthony Davis is exactly that! I stated a couple weeks back that I think he'll be the 2nd best player in the league in 2 years and going after Kevin Durant with his overall complete game. Shame that his GM is Dell Demps.
On the bright entertainment side we'll have another #TheDecision in 6 years or some trade drama.

What I meant with the ratings is that ORtg only accounts for possessions in which the player was involved, and IMO it's the most useful stat to display the individual efficiency of a player's shooting possessions. Much better than PER and Offensive WS.

This is interesting from Draftexpress regarding Doug McDerMott.

His true shooting percentage was 65% this season, third best among draft prospects (behind Stauskas and Embiid), but he carried a significantly heavier usage role than either, which makes his efficiency all the more impressive.

Neg train worthy.

Someone will want Exum enough for the Jazz to trade down if they land 6th. Gordon and an asset >>>>>>>>>>> Exum

I think Doug McD will have a very solid and long career in the league. He's just in that no-mans land, draft order wise for us.

So question for you armchair GMs and draft enthusiasts.

So if Utah drafts Exum what do you all do with the roster? Keep Burke as the starting PG, move Exum to the 2, have Burks as the backup SG and resign Hayward at the 3? Start Exum at PG, make Burke the backup and bring over Neto and let Garrett go?
