Following potential 2014 draftees

2 very different comparisons. smart will be a combo guard. he could easily bust as a point guard. he could also easily bust as a shooting guard. he could be one of those dude who doesn't have a clear cut position. that's his low

i'm only talking about ceiling here. wiggins ceiling is probably kobe + tmac like. that doesn't mean wiggins will be kobe or tmac. embiid's ceiling is slower, but taller hakeem. but embiid could easily be nothing more than marcus camby

Just because someone is a better 3pt shooter, more athletic (debatable in the case of Harrison vs. Smart), and bigger means they have more potential is stupid. There is more to being a basketball player than that.

Last year we all wanted Trey Burke to get bounced in the tourney early so his stock wouldn't rise that much, his range was 12-14 right where our pick was. After his tourney run there were discussions about Orlando picking him at #2 like seriously considering it. Wouldn't be surprised to see Aaron Harrison go in the lottery tbh. Randle is a top-7 lock for sure now though.

Aaron Harrison has 0 chance of going in the lottery.

About 14 players currently projected in the lottery would have to go back to college for Aaron Harrison to be a lottery pick. Late 1st rounder at best.

PG's rise because of positional scarcity in the draft. Robert Horry at SG in college doesn't.

There is a very real chance neither Harrison is playing in the National Basketball Association in 5 years.

Can someone name an elite skill either Harrison possess?

Only thing I can think of is strength at position, but is being a strong 6'5 SG that big of an advantage?

Both Harrisons could go in the fairly late first round. They've started to validate their reputation as recruits out of HS. I don't think either is on par with Alec Burks as a prospect.

and ability to hit 3 game winner in a row. and he was such a scrub that he was a top rated SG last year.

i see an obvious talent. but dude needs to stay at least 1 more year in college. just not enough experience. if i had to choose between smart & harrison, i pick smart for my jazz because he would be more NBA ready, and i'm not that patient.

but if i'm a sixers fan i pick aaron harrison over smart because i already have MCW and harrison would add athleticism and length and clutch shooting ability.

Not sure who you're talking to Cy. But i agree about Harrison being 25ish.

Im only pimping his astonishing tourney run.
