Locke hinting that Ty Corbin is gone?

Just some recent comments from Locke. I am paraphrasing these:

-He recently said on the radio many in the Jazz origination are excited to hit the "reset button" this summer.

-"Denver's new coach is not working out for them. Sometimes that just happens.....cough..cough...giggles...."

-"In fairness to Corbin Ive never wanted to comment about Ty Corbin's future with the Jazz. But the Jazz said that they will be judging coaching on defense....and the Jazz have been the worst defensive teams the whole year...and our roster should has some good defensive players on it."

The point being Locke has been tight lipped all year about Corbin, now he is making subtle jabs and hints. I think he knows that the writing is on the wall.

I hope he's right.

It would be shocking if Ty was re-signed. I just can't see DL thinking Ty is our man going forward.

I do think Locke has insider knowledge.

He uses his tweets/podcasts to grease the skids for announcements.

He was 1st to say in october that he doubted Hayward would sign and IF he did it would be at the last minute.

He appears to be a very trusted analytics guy for the Jazz.

Like it or not, he is our money ball nerd.

Does anyone have one thing to say to compel me into believing Corbin is a decent coach?

Think he has done a good job with Favors tbh and developing players for the most part. I would like to see more minutes, but his patient approach to player development and has been effective, I think.

What doesn't help the Jazz's defensive ratings is how terrible their offense is. Lots of bad shots leading to the team having to hustle back on the other end and not being able to matchup up properly. Turnovers don't help either.

I don't think Corbin is as bad as many make him out to be. The dude has no consistent threat on the offensive end, and it's really hard to win in the NBA like that. He could certainly be better, tho.
