OK, so now that we've secured the 4th worst spot, the most likely outcome for us is getting the 5th pick (35% chance). Let's then say that the following players are gone by the time our 5th pick comes around:

Wiggins
Jabari
Embiid
Exum

Who would you guys take next???

Randle
Gordon
Smart (meh)
Vonleh

Let's hear it

-----------------------------------------

I'm going with Randle obviously and playing him at SF:

Favors
Kanter
Randle
Hayward
Burke

#Randle is #Hungry

#tbh

Seems that while the highest individual pick number is 5, we would actually have a higher *combined* chance at 1-4, so WAY too early to consign ourselves #5.

Well I'm not about to start 4 different polls for positions 1-4, so I picked the higher probability and I'm sticking to it.

simplified odds

48% (~1/2) chance at a 1-4
35% (~1/3) chance at 5
17% (~1/6) chance at 6-7

I go with Gordon. I love his defense, and Karl and Millsap have shown that hard work can develop an offensive game. Guy is an athletic freak who I think can become special. Randle is the safe choice though.

Yeah exactly, I'm not about to start 4 different threads with 4 different polls for each of the 1-4th pick.

Most likely scenario is 1 team jumped us and we are pushed down 1. It's also the most conservative/likely scenario so it also act as an expectation temperer for those who don't like getting their hearts broken (raises hand).

Don't forget though that in that pivotal game DAL vs GSW (in which GSW won), Carisle had no choice but to leave Shawn Marion on the bench for the entire OT period (due to his offensive inability????).

Gordon or randle..... all depends on combine and workout results

I am a big Aaron Gordon fan as well, for the reasons you mentioned. I wouldn't call Randle a 'safe choice' though. I'm not buying he can play the three in the NBA at all. He can barely handle and don't think he'd be able to guard many of them. He made some jaw-dropping plays this year at Kentucky, but I can't envision where he succeeds in the NBA. He won't be able to overpower just about everyone he faces in the paint like he has up to this point.
