Dennis Lindsey "scouting" in Europe

That's not the point. It's how you prioritise your time. Lindsey has been on record as saying he isn't even sure about keeping all 3 picks this year given all the youngsters we already have on our team. Timing is the main thing here given that there are also other teams without a HC competing with us.

Which do you think is more important right now? Finding our new "Leader" (as DL calls it), or scout for the #23 pick?

Timing is crucial. You're right!

When can Lindsay recruit in Europe? ONLY now.

When can Lindsay search for a new coach? 'Til the summer league.

And I'm sure Lindsay has to ONLY be in his office to get a head coach. The Jazz haven't discovered teleconferencing or email yet.

I'm pretty sure Lindsey would want to lock up a coach well before the draft so the coach can have a say in who we draft. The history supports this - Ty had a huge say in the Trey Burke's decision. It's how Lindsey operates.

Plus - who better to "scout" Euroleague with than Messina? You kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

Most Europeans I've met call it speaking American. I find this both funny and accurate

At this point, with a new coach, it's kind of irrelevant. Lindsay can draft who he wants and get a coach to fit the players.

Europe isn't a country, it's a continent. Messina may or may not be involved. Info is very vague.

I hope they are disguised as some scouts from the Lakers and convincing Hozenja to declare this year so we can snag him at 23.

Wiggins and Hozenja. Dreams.

**** Europe is a subcontinent of Eurasia it's as much a continent as India is.

I wouldn't say it's totally irrelevant. Messina by all accounts is one of the best basketball minds in Europe. Pretty sure Lindsey would have loved his input during the draft.

I didn't understand what you are trying to say. In Europe, it's being taught as one of the seven continents. Is it wrong?

True story: on my first business trip to Amsterdam, I flew alone, intending to meet up with colleagues who had flown before or would arrive later. I was worried about not being able to get around or make myself understood. First store I go into I timidly ask one of the clerks, "do you speak English?" With a slight air of scorn, he replies back, with a distinctly British accent, "of course I do." I told that story to a co-worker who was from The Netherlands. She explained to me that almost everyone speaks English there, especially in Amsterdam. And wherever I've traveled since (mostly western Europe), I've had no problem communicating.

And no, my business there had nothing to do with marijuana or the red light district.

Don't worry, your past post history makes it clear you would do nothing so interesting or fun.

They teach that here too. yes it is wrong. The only reason it get's to be a continent is because Europeans want it to be one. It's not. My evidence...
