He might be able to, but the fact is that D-League caliber players aren't going to look good on bad, young teams like Utah. They succeed when they go places like San Antonio where their is a system in place with defined roles and very talented/experienced players drawing attention away from those players and setting them up. You can say "We should have played Ian more to see what we had" but the fact is that it could have been detrimental to his development to give him too much time in a scenario that was built for him to fail.
