Anyone here have that video of Malone knocking out The Admiral? Unfortunately that's not on youtube....

Seriously, there's video of Malone destroying that crappy Knicks manager, Isiah whatever. There's a video of Malone destroying Nash. A few of Malone destroying Rodman and Kareem. But nothing for destroying Dave Robinson? This was probably the worst one of all of them in that he knocked Robinson out cold.

Anyone have this footage? Put it up on youtube for all to see please!

MALONED

I hated this one.
Robinson has always been one of my favorite players.
He is a class person, and was a great player.

I love Karl Malone and will defend him endlessly but that was probably the dirtiest play of his career. Granted, it was a standard move for him to flail his arms toward the basket (whether he had the ball or not - which in this case he didn't) to sell it to the refs that he was shooting but he was clearly trying to hit Robinson with his left elbow - not to give him a concussion but definitely to send a message. The bizarre thing is Robinson was called for a foul on the play on a reach.

Later in that game, Duncan and Will Perdue tried to retalitate with cheap shots of their own, but Malone took them pretty well. Then in the playoffs Robinson and Popavich argued that Malone was kicking them on his shots - which was absurd.

Totally absurd.

No one wants to see it except you. Anyone who has ever been in a fight knows it was a cheap shot, a bitch move.

He definitely kicked them, the absurdity was that the Spurs claimed it was intentional and should be a foul. Malone would kick out his legs on a fadeaway or off-balance runner and lead with his knee and elbow going to the rim. Everyone knew that - the Spurs were just trying to milk the Robinson elbow into transforming everything Malone did into a dirty play.

lol - What exactly are you saying? Claims that Malone kicking in the playoffs were absurd, or everyone knew he kicked, therefore, they shouldn't have said anything?

The picture you posted wasn't from the '98 playoffs, it was from a regular season game played 2 seasons after the elbow/kicking accusations. Robinson claimed Malone kicked him on a running jumper that put Utah ahead late in a close game 1. Malone made the same move in late in game 2 that resulted in a 3pt play to put Utah ahead and Popavich went crazy. That was nothing more than the Spurs trying to plant a bug in the referee's ear.
