Just kidding. I've never watched the first part, so I'd imagine team officials get to sit sequestered and monitor the process, then talk amongst themselves, while their counterparts wait in a different room for the opening of the envelopes - with no communication between them?
 
So when the announce it do they do countdown from 14 to 1? or just top 3? i have to prepare myself for what kind of suspense i'm in for.

It's a 14 to 1 countdown. You'll see some real excitement if/when teams are "missed" - then they know they've gotten a top-3 pick, but not which one until those picks are revealed.
