A couple huge differences between chris sileton and aaron gordon:

Aaron is the far better athlete, yes, it's true.

Singleton was a 37 Fg% and 31 3pt fg% in college, A. Gordon is a 49.5 FG%! and 35.6 3pt fg%, with a good looking form.

Singleton could not rebound (grabbed 3.2 pergame, compared to Aaron's 8.0!!)

Singleton couldn't pass, only averaging 0.6 AST over his three college seasons, compared to aaron's 2.0, which doesn't fully describe how good he was when considering how littl the ball was in his hands to make plays for others, due to the fact that he was a freshman on an already elite NCAA team.

A. Gordon averaged almost twice as many blocks and steals as Singleton.

Singleton's ceiling was Trevor Ariza, and his worst case projection was Dominic Mcguire. Aaron Gordon's comps have always been worst case Shawn Marion, middle case A. Kirilenko, and best case Blake Griffin.

Singleton was 24, which by NBA terms mean he was largely plateaued development wise. Aaron Gordon is 18, and one the youngest players in the entire draft!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Huge difference.

You guys who are scared of Gordon haven't come up with a single honest or accurate comparison to him yet.

So far, I've concretely refuted:

Corey Brewer
MKG
The Manimal
Chris Singleton

Please be somewhat accurate next time.

Ak and Marion not worth the 5th pick, and I in no way see Griffin in Gordon.

Your right on brewer, he's a way better shooter then Gordon, and isn't a liability on offense. After all Brewer did score 50 in one game. Let's see Gordon do that, and you can't do hack a Shaq on brewer either.

Those are his worst case comps.

When people comp AK, they mean the young all-star form, healthy AK. Not the overpaid injured whiner.

I don't see the same level of defense out of Aaron Gordon that I saw out of AK. Gordon averaged 1 block and .9 steals in college. I think AK is more like Gordon's ceiling than his floor.

Plus, I don't recall AK ever airballing a free-throw.

Worst case my ***. Those are best if anything.

Not according to most scouts. Kid is 18 bro and already projects that as worst case.

I personally thinks comps are stupid, as they are almost never accurate. Evaluate in this order3

1. Heart --he has it in spades.
2. Measurements , body, and athleticism -- acrs this category.
3. Age for upside -- is youngest lotto player, and one of the youngest in whole draft
4. Mind --brilliant basketball mind
5. Skills --already checks out with elite skills in most categories. Shooting form looks good, but struggles with FT's, like a lot of young athletic kids his size havem and then turned it around.

Gordon played out of position almost the entire season, and still held his own. AK is not his ceiling. As an SF, in the NBA where he could use his athleticism even more, he will beast out.

That's what you quoted as the "post of the Year."

So you didn't agree with Vermin?

First I agree that you can't compare Gordon to KF, but that also can't compare Gordon to Grifin either. They are pf's. Gordon is a stretch4 that can't shoot, at least KF can guard bigger or smaller players, Gordon is too small, but I can see similar production which isn't worth the fith pick.

Gordon looks not bad, but terrible on offense.

He airballed 3-ptrs. long by like 3 feet and airballed free-throws. He doesn't have the balance, body control or timing that AK had.

I think the Aaron Gordon talk surrounding the Jazz and Celtics is a smokescreen.

Aaron Gordon isn't a defensive stat hoarder like AK was either. He could easily average more blocks if he played less tight man-defense and took more chances.

Gordon will be a better man defender than AK ever was, no question.
