I'll strongly maintain the opinion that BYU imposes the HC on it's athletes when the have to, not when they want to.
So you are saying that they had to suspend davies and unga?
They could have let them both play and never even told anyone that they had pre marital sex.
Even after byu chose to make it know that they violated the honor code, the media and everyone else couldnt believe that they were not going to let davies play.... they easily could have slapped him on the wrist and let him compete in the ncaa tournament on a team that desperately needed his inside presence to compliment jimmer.
But they threw the hammer down by choice?
Hell they could just get rid of the honor code alltogether if they wanted to.
They never HAVE to enforce it or have it. It is always a choicr that byu makes whether to enforce it or look the other way (which they do sometimes like you said)
Back to the original point though. They are different from other schools.... and that is extremely obvious to everyon but you apparently
