What has NY accomplished? I'd take two very good players instead of a MAX guy like Carmelo. You have limited dollars to spend. Pay MAX to a player whose net (pts scored vs. allowed) is very low. In addition, if the offense isn't geared 100% to his liking, he can't produce and will complain until the coach is replaced.
Okay now we're talking. Yeah, it's tough to decide if paying max is smart for any player. It's really becoming tough deciding how much to spend on your marquee guys and other complementary players. I think everyone's looking for that special blend.
I don't look at stats ever, but I doubt Melo's points scored vs. points allowed is very low. He's really good. I hope he plays with Lebron. That would be the ultimate!
