Following potential 2014 draftees

****

OKC has apparently made a promise to Kristaps Porzingis in the first round... Hopefully its at 29 and not 21.. if no fringe lottery players fall, thats who i'd want at 23. (id grade Porzingis as fringe lotto this year, definite lotto pick next year)

at least that means hes going to stay in this draft

Sixers say that Wiggins is their guy and will do ANYTHING to get him.

This likely removes them as a trade partner for the Jazz to move up.

Unless they fail to get Wiggins.

Maybe they're into the great athlete/defense type players (Noel, MCW in theory) and would be open to swap a chance for Parker for a chance for Gordon.

Unlikely … just thinking out loud…

Edit: I see Core4 beat me to the thought

Not necessarily. Cleveland takes Embiid and Milwaukee drafts Wiggins. Sixers are pissed off that their #1 option is off the board, say ^%&$ it, and trade back.

Or sixers are smokescreening. (I doubt it though)

Source says the Jazz saw Vonleh workout already last week in a private workout in New York.

With that thinking, Jazz FO man Walt Perrin is confident that Noah Vonleh can come in and play along side Favors, with no issues. Even if Vonleh isn't a starter, FO thinks he can come in and instantly make the Jazz' regular rotation because of rebounding and defense.

Interesting take away from today's Utah Jazz pre-draft workout: Longterm, the organization sees Derrick Favors as a center, not a PF.

So all those games that Marvin started, Favors WASN'T at the 5?
I don't think it's an interesting take away, at all. Derrick has limited range; he has to play near the rim. Kanter, Vonleh, or whoever else the Jazz have playing with Favors need to have solid outside games.
