Aaron Gordon, a No. 5 Pick?

Honest question, besides age/upside, what would we be getting out of Aaron Gordon that we don't get out of Jeremy Evans? Again, not considering that Aaron Gordon might get better.

Evans cannot move laterally like Gordon can and at 200 lbs gets pushed around even at SF. Gordon is light but at least 225. Evans cannot dribble to save his life, Gordon is a little overrated here but have seen him take it coast to coast after a rebound.

Eh, it's not liek Tyreke Evans is the worst player on teh planet.

I also think Smart will have the most immediate impact, but I don't like him personally or his long-term outlook. Just bring in Deandre Kane fro some of that Smart-esque immediate impact imabbpo

If it's a four player draft and I'm drafting fifth, I don't draft the tenth best player (at least in terms of what I'm looking for).


When did Gordon become the obvious fifth-best prospect in this draft? How is an athletic tweener that isn't good at basketball a key piece?

Gordon might be the best basketball player in the draft, he just happens to be one of the worst shooters.

He has a higher IQ and better passing ability than any other non-PG in the draft.

Best defender and is probably on par with Wiggins athletically pound for pound.

He is a ball handler.

I understand those are only a few possessions, but he shows ability in the pick n roll as a ball handler. Has Jeremy Evans ever shown ability in the pick n roll at any level?
