For what it's worth, if the Jazz stay at #5, I'd love to see them trade #23 and #35 to move up as far as possible and then try to buy another pick at the end of the first round again (assuming they don't add any other assets along the way).Don't like idea of trading #23 and/or #35.
Just seems like not that many players to pick from that fit Jazz needs.
I think Jazz should just stockpile young talent and then trade as necessary.
This years talent seems terrific all the way down to #35.
They might need to decide if they're going to buy out Tomic, but they could package future 2nd round picks into the process to make something work. If they're going to make 3 picks in this draft, I'd much rather it be #5, #17/18 and #27/28 instead of #5, #23 and #35. I loved how they moved around last year. That should be the plan again this year.
I agree that I'd much rather they just draft the best players they can get their hands on instead of trading for a veteran. Just let your young guys grow up to be veterans. And let your young guys add depth to your bench.
