Derek Fisher to coach the Knicks

well J kidd did pretty good job considering how awful he looked first couple of months.

phil wants a young guy he can groom. he wants his protege. get that triangle going again in this league. i get that.

but from a young coach perspective, this current knicks is not a good situation. i mean just look at that roster. it's a mess especially if melo leaves.

He also had Lopez, Garnett, Johnson, Pierce and Williams...

Guess Phil wants the Knicks to run the triangle.

.,..you gotz to have brains to run the triangle! I don't think the Knicks can cut the mustard! Anthony? Please! He got punked on MTV! J.R. Smith? Can't find anymore flesh to desecrate.....so you know he's brain dead!

The EC was a dump.

The Dallas Mavs, the 8th seed, would have been in the ECF this year. They probably would have given Miami a better series than the Pacers gave them too.

Seriously, ask yourself, what WC playoff team would have lost to Brooklyn in a series? There aren't any.

Houston. It's their MO to choke.

actually brooklyn was ballin after their initial struggles.

head to head against WCF. they are 18-12 against WCF. many of their losses happened in the 1st half of the season.

W L
GS 2 - 1
Houston 2-1
clippers 2-1
lakers 2 - 1
memphis 2-2
minny 2-1
new orleans 2-1
okc 2-1
phoenix 2-2
portland 2-0
sacramento 2-1
san antonio 2-1
utah 2-2

they did that without Lopez too. if kidd had 1 year under his belt with healthy lopez? i would say nets would be fighting for 4-6th spot in the playoffs.

Wait what? Those numbers make no sense. Brooklyn played each western team twice.

For example Sacramento you have 2-1. Do you mean two wins and one loss or that out of two games Brooklyn won 1 and lost 1?

still did pretty well considering how badly they struggled 1st 3 months of the season.

and remember they were 4-0 against miami in the regular season. they were very good home team, but awful on the road. but i believe their road record was .500% ish after january.

Cool. They also had DWill, Joe Johnson, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett in the EC.

yup.

EC was bad, but they still had 4-5 quality teams. we all know bulls can play during the regular season. they don't have a talent, but they are a tough out in the regular season.
