Engelland--what's the deal?

Think it was us and the Warriors that were after him. Not the Cavs

Yes, the Kerr connection.

I heard it on the radio, but have been unable to confirm it anywhere that Engelland was a development coach for the jazz back in 2001 before moving on.

Does anyone know?

wiki doesn't show anything on from 2001-03 in between his Detroit and Denver jobs.
Just curious but wouldn't SA have to grant permission for him to interview with GS or Utah? He's an assistant in SA so he's not receiving a promotion. Why would SA want to let him go?

A Spurs assistant for seven years, I know I read about a week ago that we (and I think the Cavs) were strongly pursuing him. Anyone heard anything? Renowned as a great shooting coach, he seems like he'd be a great addition, specifically to get Hayward, Burks and Burke to the next level as far as their three-point shot goes.

It was the Warriors, not the Cavs smarty pants.

Why would we hire Engelland when it is clear that Boylen was the only difference between last year's finals disappointment and this year's championship?

I don't believe Engelland is an actual (or full-time) assistant. Thus, him getting such a job at another team would be a promotion. But I am also shooting from the hip on this.

Hey Gyp...

Wanna know how the fantasy basketball league turned out?

Nightmare won the first year. I won last year.

Your team and Gameface's team got dismantled and redrafted by two new participants. I then made a trade for Lebron which helped me win it all.

If you stuck around your team probably would have been pretty good. Other than Rose still hasn't made it back.
