Jazz have "zeroed in" on Jabari Parker

Smart move by the Jazz creating a bidding war between 76ers and ORL for our #5 + assets.

IMO - Jabari is totally opposite to who the 76ers want... they would rather have a young & athletic player in their roster OKC Style. In the past they've picked Noel & MCW - both not very skilled but very athletic (OKC style).

I can really see this scenario:

- Cavs pick Embiid, Bucks pick Wiggins

- 76ers pick Jabari (BPA)

- ORL pick Vonleh (or Smart)

- Jazz picks Exum, and swap: Exum + Burks + GSW '17 for Jabari

Win/Win

How the **** is that a win win? It looks to me like we'd be getting screwed. Just like w/ Burke, we'd be giving up a lot of assets for an overrated player. Jabari is not Lebron, Pierce or Melo. He is Jabari ****ing Parker. A 19 yr old kid who won state a couple of years in HS, and averaged 19 pts his one and only college season. Un-****ing-proven! He doesn't even have the upside that some of the others in this draft have. Exum has higher upside than him, and we're supposed to get excited because people are talking giving up Exum, Burks, and really good picks we bled for, just to nab him? If this is really the plan, DL is clearly not the man I thought he was. His value is being inflated by his religion, and not his skill set.

But if we're willing to offer #5 + Burks + '17 GSW pick, I think we might have some leverage.

Or a team drafts Parker, likes him, knows how desperate the Jazz are, and demand too much, thus either fleecing the Jazz or it not working and everyone walks away unhappy.

The only time you want to look desperate in a situation of negotiation is if you're bluffing.

It obviously depends how highly the Jazz values Jabari.

Well who/what would you give up for Parker?

I don't know, but I know that not likely being in a position to draft Parker means that the Jazz don't hold the leverage, and thus, seeming desperate is BAD for them. Whether they actually are or not.

I think that goes without saying. There's no need to pretend we're not desperate for Parker. A deal will get done when both parties are happy with what they've got - whether or not we're desperate is irrelevant because we can also say no to a deal no matter how "desperate" we seem.

Wow man no reason to bring religion into this. If you can't see that Jabari is going to be good then you are delusional.
