Alright... so if the Cavs were smart they wouldn't try to squeeze us here and would take the 5 and Favors for #1 and Jack.

They would do this with the understanding that they are going for LeBron and would ask us to remember that they didn't squeeze us for Burks and #23 when they miss on Bron and go for Gordon Hayward. This allows them to get a guy much better suited for what they need... Burks has some overlap with Waiters... and fill their SF vacancy if they strike out on LeBron. They agree to what the parameters of a sign and trade would look like if they could get Gordon to agree to terms. In business it is generally not best to squeeze every ounce out of every deal... this would work well for both sides as I think we need Burks more than Hayward and Hayward would be a much better fit for Cleveland than Burks would.

Both sides would go into this with the understanding that Hayward could just sign with Boston or Phoenix instead and that obviously nothing could be consummated before July 1. The sign and trade would be some expirings or cap space plus a pick or Tristan Thompson/Anthony Bennett/Tyler Zeller for Hayward.

Also, any team that wants Hayward will have to work with us... we will match any offer he gets, so if they really want him they'll have to pony up.

...... Handlogten STAHP.

It was a defensive move, even if it was ballsy. I also think they wanted to exercise some demons because Sloan wanted Deron gone for most of that season and they probably felt like it was 'the right thing'.
How do you exercise demons? I'm assuming they don't need any time to really warm up since they live in a very hot place. We do "suicide drills" in basketball; maybe those would be good. Oh, and I'll bet they would LOVE two-a-day practices. We used to call that "Hell Week" in High School.

DL is so effing desperate, the Cavs should just keep saying no, demanding more future 1st round picks and Kanter - might as well really fleece the Jazz while taking advantage of a weak Dennis Lindsey.

That is, if any of this is true, which I doubt.

Because Lindsey has been burned so many times in the past?
I think he did alright for himself last season, acquiring additional assets, trading up and then back in to get a couple of decent players in a draft very weak on talent. No, I'm not a very big Burke fan, but even I can admit it's probably a wash between Trey and MCW in that draft spot. And while Plumlee had a nice rookie season, Gobert is the one player in the late first would could be a real impact player.

The Utah Jazz are not going to sit quietly and wait for their turn. They have been extremely active. The Jazz have not been overly excited to be sitting on the fifth pick in this draft class and have been at all three teams sitting at the top. Their target surprisingly is not Jabari Parker, as much as fans may want to see Parker in Salt Lake City, sources say their ideal target is Andrew Wiggins - Basketball Insiders

Burke
Wiggins
Lebron
Kanter
Asik

Which seed would this team make in the West? I know, Lebron will never come but still, I'm wondering...
