Hayward Will Never Be AK

My friends, Hayward will never be the Andrei u want him to be so very very much. Yes he can block the shot like NBA announcing does not realize. Yes he can shoot the three pointer some game. No he is not tall and long like proper Aryan NBA player must be. No he is not worth maximum. No he cannot make clever pass like Andrei. No he cannot defend the Lebron like Andrei. You are all very very stupid wanting signing this man for 16 million US dollar.

You did better at maintaining character this time. There is hope for you yet.

To be honest, I would prefer AK, off the bench, at 3 mil, than Hayward at 10-12 mil -- does NJ have anyone to make up the salary, like a shooter to add to the deal? Unfortunately, no, don't like Teletovic's game, so this is a only a pipedream, or maybe a nightmare for some people on this board ... :D

....well, we hope he's not like AK, a guy with energy, mostly out of control, who hit the offensive boards hard, but was generally out of position on defense most of the time...when he wasn't gambling for the steal, who couldn't hit the broadside of a barn from 17 feet and out, who had major difficulties remembering plays called by the coach, and who sported out of choice.....one of the most hideous jailhouse tats in NBA history! Oh, did I mention that after his 1st Jazz contract, he was stealing money from the franchise?

I like AK, but the Jazz definitely overpaid him. To me, a lot of it was due to injury. If he could have stayed healthy throughout his contract, he wasn't a bad guy to have around. I actually think he had a drop off in play due to his bad back.

At the time the Jazz offered him the max, he appeared to be worth it. If he stayed playing at the level he was, it would have been a good investment. If he had improved more, he would have been a steal. Unfortunately the Jazz made a bad bet.

Please, don't hold back...tell us how you really feel about AK.

AK was a power forward trying to play small forward. Hayward is a 2-3 wing trying to play UP to big wings. Completely different scenarios, other than both are white hardy har har.

Actually AK was never a MAX player and Hayward doesn't cry when he doesn't get his way.

He had a drop off because he didn't work on his game and pouted when he wasn't the man in the offense. Oh how Jazz fans forget the reality of AK.

He never had a strong work ethic. Of course it was a factor, but his injuries has a major impact on his career.

Yep, AK's game was always based on his athleticism. You have to continue to develop because parts of your game will fade as you get older. Look at Malone; he developed a fantastic mid-range game so he could rely on his shooting as he aged instead of having to battle inside all the time. Age - and injuries - caught up to AK and he never worked on improving his shooting nor his strength. He went from being able to guard Kobe to guarding almost no one. It was pitiful to see him pushed aside by stronger players and playing several feet off others and having them just shoot over him.

Pretty concise. Jazz were burned as a result.

**** Andrei Kirilenko. One of this franchise's proudest moments was when they didn't re-sign the ****ing bum.
