All-Time NBA Draft (not just international)

I have one player that I had rated higher than Pippen, so you made my choice a lot easier if Hack doesn't take my guy. . . but had Pippen still been there, I'd have been sorely tempted to jump my board and take him instead of hoping he'd fall to 26. I'm still going to get two really good players, but I'd have loved to have Pippen as one of them.

You can bet me or addictionary will take your guy.

With the 20th pick of the 2014 NBA All Time Greatests Class Draft;

as the owner of that risky pick, I select the player, that I am both extremely happy with as a big fan and also very upset that he is down to this point.

This guy was born in 1950 New York. He was the revolutionizer of the sports we love and keep track of today. He played in 3 teams and in 2 leagues. Played a good amount with the colored ball with his Afro.

He had his nickname since highschool, given by a highschool friend:

I have a buddy—his name is Leon Saunders—and he lives in Atlanta, and I started calling him "the professor," and he started calling me "the doctor." So it was just between us...we were buddies, we had our nicknames and we would roll with the nicknames. Lo and behold we graduate from high school together, we both go to U-Mass, and we separated for many years 'cause he went over to Africa and did some stuff, and I went my way. But now he's my golf buddy in Atlanta...and I love him. He's just like a little brother to me even though, you know, there's only months between us. But he's the professor and he was the first one to call me "the doctor." And that's where it came from.

Some familiar folks have stepped the same ladders, some others try to climb today...

As he stepped to the Rucker Park, he started being called Black Moses and Houdini. But he said to those people, "Call me Doc..."

He treated those patients with a new type of medical care. Changed the game as they knew it.

He was a 6-6, 210 lbs, long arms'n legs guy with insane air travelling ability.

Doc had that winning attitude as much as a player could, going up against the best opposition possible, taking it to the extreme...

He dominated when enjoyed it, enjoyed it when dominated it....

He is an obvious HoF'er.

He is the great basketball player to be looked up to.

He is the definite basketball hero. Even could be put above anyone else relatively.

I don't know what the hell is he doing here in #20,

but he is my pick.

LOVE that pick addictionary. He was my #1 guy left.
I was hoping he would fall to ellis to match him up with Magic...... damn that would be a fun duo to watch (dont know if they would win the most, but they definately would be entertaining.

Damn! Too good to be true. Magic Johnson and Dr. J. would have been a fun tandem to pair together.
