BREAKING NEWS - Jazz close to signing Toure Murry

The jazz obviously want a full stock of ball handlers who know what to do in the PnR. It looks like we'll basically be playing a style where the 1 and the 2 are indistinguishable from one another. Wide open... get it down the floor and let the "1" or the "2" get right into a set. Hell, if Hayward is the 3, then it's even more open. I like that.
 
Murry's agent told Jody Gennessy the report was "news to him." idk if I believe it. didn't DL say he wanted a team friendly deal for the 3rd pg a week or two ago? 2 yrs 2 mil isn't much, but it's more than we've been spending on a third pg the last few years. Unless the second year is non-guaranteed, which i guess it probably is, so never mind
 
I wonder if the Jazz still have the headband ban still in action, or will Murray be the first to wear one.

It tells us about Murry but generally speaking, that article was awful.

* ..."if for no other reason than the be used as insurance during the season if one or more of our prime time guys are having a bad game." What? No. He's insurance in case of injury but other than that injury or a blowout, this guy shouldn't see the court. Ever. Burke, Exum, Burks, and Haywood need to play and play a lot.

*"All of those teams, save for the Knicks, are playoff teams." I know I'll get backlash on this but imo, the Knicks will make the playoffs this year. A new voice in Fisher should help a lot and a core of Carmello, Calderon, Hardaway, Jr., Shumpert, Early, J.R. Smith, Stoudemire, and Dalembert should be at least the #8 seed. Either way, it's not so black and white to write in the present tense that they aren't a playoff team.

*The use of three point stats which were mediocre in college and the D-league and in the NBA, so limited a sample size.

*"IF the Jazz also get Chauncey Billups I'm fine with this : )" Knowing Burke and Exum need major PT at the point, the idea seems awful. Unless of course Billups is content with just riding the pine. I doubt that though and while I'd like someone to mentor Burke and Exum, I'm only happy with the idea if the guy knows he may get 82 DNP's. That smiley face was just the awful icing on top.
