well i never panicked with choking. maybe because i have been doing judo since the age of 6.
one thing that scares me is drowning.
i have had a lot of cuts in my live. mostly they dont hurt because of adrenaline or happens in moments of action.
but if i cut myself in the kitchen, when cooking i cry like a baby. in comparison to getting cuts and sticthes during sparring/fighting.

but point is i still think wrist cutting is a major hurdle for me compared to being choked and passing out.

I think being choked out in judo is not quite the same as getting in a noose and hanging. I would panic only in one of those situations

also you yourself would panic, because you dont wanna die i assume. but if i wanted to die i would think getting choked out wouldn't be panic inducing. if your used to getting choked out

also i got choked a few times with a belt and a plastic bag during training.(not judo)

belt comes closer to hanging i suppose

Yeah, a belt and plastic bag may freak me out, unless I knew it was controlled training. I was stuck in a strainer while whitewater kayaking and was underwater over 2.5 minutes. My vision turned red and black before I was able to surface. Not a fun experience. Took me about a month to get back in a river.
