All-Time NBA Draft **Finals**: Spycam1 vs Hotttnickkk

Who would win in a 7 game series?

  • Total voters
    46
  • Poll closed .
I can't believe this is finally over. Imma go cry right na.

Thank you for the good work everyone and thanks QSH for leading this ****.

My team didn't flame out, the voters did. My starting lineup had an awesome array of offense and defense with top notch playmaking, and the most exposing and gifted athletic and strong athletes, that would've run every team into the ground with its supreme conditioning and length. I can except losing, but there's no way that team would get blown out like that.
I'm not going to lie. I thought I was screwed drawing you in the first round. Didn't realize that people would like my starting lineup as much as they did. I actually liked your team a lot more than Joel's team and thought that we'd have had a much closer contest. My blowout win totally caught me by surprise.

Thanks Ellis. I really enjoyed the draft process, and definitely had a specific strategy for how I wanted to build my team.

In a draft where many of the main players on teams would come from an era where they were smaller and slower, I wanted to see if I could overpower teams with some of the most physical and imposing players, not to mention having some of the better two way players. I had a ton of shooting and defense, but the voters for whatever reason didn't see it that way.

No coaches drafted?
Lame
Coaches win when you have loaded teams like that
I actually like this idea a lot. I think that when we do the current players draft, there should be one additional pick per team and each GM should draft a current NBA head coach and his staff along with the players being selected. Pick a head coach and you get his staff as well, for better or worse. However a team is constructed, the coaching staff that's in place to run the show makes a HUGE difference. There's a big difference in how the exact same roster is used depending on if your coach is Greg Popovich vs. Tom Thibodeau vs. Jeff Hornacek vs. Doc Rivers.

Agreed. And that coach/staff could be picked at any point throughout the draft. Should we do this for the current players draft? It could still be 12 rounds with 11 players and 1 coach.

You can't just add a round like you said because then the draft isn't equitable for the backend teams in the last round.

Why not just have a thirteenth round? Then we can have a full roster. It's just one extra day.

I think you're just having a laugh busting spy's balls throughout this tourney but if you're not and honestly feel this way, I'd like to see you rank the 12 teams, from best to worst.

I'd be interested to see a list by Cy as well. I still feel my team was better then the voters treated my team.

Drafts are an even number of rounds 99.8% of the time because if they weren't, the last round (13th in this case) would give whoever has the 1st pick an advantage over everyone else.

That's true, but by the time we get to the 13th round, I think that the difference between picking first vs. last is minimal at best. I'd still do the 12 players and one coach if it were me. I agree that you should be able to pick your coach at any time. If someone wants to burn an early pick on a coach vs. taking one with your last pick, I think that should be an integral part of the strategy. I'm interested in seeing how that will impact the draft. It'll be fun to see which coaches get picked in this thing.

From memory your team has too many inexperienced players in the starting lineup who haven't really proved themselves. Paul George? What has he achieved? He had 1-2 decent seasons, but that's really about it. He would be a good pick in a current draft game, but definitely not for the All Time draft.

Same goes with Anthony Davis. He may be talented now and has very good years ahead of him but he is still unproven and hasn't achieved anything yet.

Kinkkk, you call yourself Humble and then around your glitzy photograph of two sexy Hollywood A-listers holding their Oscar statuettes, you have in bright red and blue, your announcement to the world that you finished second in our all-time NBA draft. That doesn't feel so humble to me. In fact, it feels like the antithesis of it.

Well, I guess I'm #humble but also #proud at the same time? Hence the red and blue lettering on white background, similar to how Americans are "proud" of their flag and their red/blue/white national colours?

McConaughey obviously is one of my most favourite actor of all time, a big fan of Jennifer Lawrence as well loved her in Hunger Games and Silver Linings Playbook.

I dunno - what don't you like about the sig. ? I thought it nice.

This year's all time fantasy draft was a sham.

I had a trade in place and agreed on that would have gave me my 3rd straight championship. But Spy and and Thee **** blocked me.

My team would have been

Stockton
Wade
Carter
Malone
Robinson

It wasn't a fair trade bro, and you know it.... White Choc would have been kicked out 1st round had he made that trade.

Not fair?

So dumb.

It was Payton , Barkley, and Rodman

For Stockton and Malone.

It wasn't all that unfair. Certainly shouldn't have been vetoed.

I didn't know trades had to be perfectly equal. What's even the point of trading if that's the case? It's not like me and white chocolate were conspiring to help me win it. He wanted to do the trade and a bunch of you had to talk him out of it.

Sure, the trade made my team better, but that shouldn't be a reason to veto the trade.

It was BS is what it was.

Trades shouldn't be allowed, or vetoing shouldn't be allowed. All it did was open the door to jealous people to hate on other people.
